Costco Shower Benches Recalled by US CPSC

Recalled Ivena Shower Bench sold at Costco

The teak shower bench shown in the photo on the right has been recalled by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. The bench is made by Ivena and sold exclusively by Costco. The shower bench can collapse during use, posing a fall hazard to the user. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled shower benches and return them to Costco for a full refund. Costco is contacting all purchasers directly. About 70,000 were sold in the US and another 11,317 were sold in Canada. There have been 81 incidents reported in the United States and Canada relating to the Shower Bench including three incidents involving injuries in the United States and one in Canada.
