ADA Training for Facility Compliance Inspection and Report Writing
Richard Acree
ADA Inspections Nationwide, LLC, (ADAIN) offers training for employers and employees of businesses, public accommodations, commercial facilities, and state and local government agencies interested in improving their working knowledge of ADA compliance.
This course includes a six-seven hour classroom presentation followed by a walk-through of a local facility to practice what was learned in the classroom presentation. The classroom presentation and walk-through is based on a proprietary facility ADA inspection checklist that is available for purchase from ADAIN. The graphic on the right is representative. Richard Acree uses his experience as a building inspector, and his training as an ADA Coordinator and compliance inspector, to help educate individuals or groups of interested parties in the more significant ADA issues and discrepancies found in many buildings. Going further, if requested, Richard can inspect a representative number of your facilities to identify ADA issues unique to your business and prepare a training program specific to your needs.
The presentation uses photographs of discrepancies and diagrams of recommended installations to help participants understand each issue discussed. Participants are encouraged to ask questions about the presentation and about issues in their own facilities.
If desired, Richard can teach participants how to write a comprehensive report detailing the results of the facility compliance inspection. Using photographs of discrepancies and graphics of recommended installations, a clear and concise report can be prepared suitable for management review.
