Richard Acree is an experienced Guest Speaker offering an interesting and educational presentation regarding Common ADA Discrepancies. This presentation is suitable for conferences and symposiums for employees and managers of Title II and Title III facilities, individuals interested in improving their ADA compliance, and ADA compliance inspectors. For a copy of Richard’s resume please see Richard Acree.
Richard encourages participants to ask questions about the presentation or issues with their own facilities. The presentation includes photographs of real discrepancies and diagrams of correct installations. The photo below is an example of some of the ADA discrepancies. Can you tell what is wrong?
ADA Accessible Parking Spaces
In the photo above, you will see two ADA accessible parking spaces for a small restaurant. What are missing is a marked access aisle for disabled individuals to use to enter or exit their cars and a sign for the right parking space. The diagram below is an example of how the parking space installation should be installed.
