Vispero to Provide Accessible Kiosks at McDonald's Restaurants

In an article posted at TPGi it was announced that McDonald’s is partnering with Vispero to provide access for blind and low vision customers in US self order kiosks. The 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards covers access to elements such as kiosks in Standards 206 and 309.
2010 ADA Standard 206.2.2, [Accessible Route] Within a Site, states, “At least one accessible route shall connect accessible buildings, accessible facilities, accessible elements, and accessible spaces that are on the same site.”
2010 ADA Standard 309.1, Operable Parts, General, states, “Operable parts shall comply with Standard 309.”
Vispero’s product, JAWS Kiosk, has been deployed to select McDonald’s US company owned restaurants, as well as newly deployed kiosks in US franchise locations.
