ADA Compliance Inspection of 24 Story Hi-Rise

Hi-Rise Office Building

Richard Acree of ADA Inspections Nationwide, LLC, recently completed an inspection of a 24-story hi-rise commercial office building for compliance with the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design. Please see the photo on the right.

The ADA compliance inspection included the parking garage, lobby, locker rooms, toilet rooms, exterior entrances, office entrances, conference rooms, cafeteria, stair cases, and elevators.

A written Property Condition Report (PCR) was prepared for the Client to describe the discrepancies with respect to the ADA and included recommendations for remediation or mitigation. Photographs of the discrepancies are included in the PCR and, if applicable, diagrams are provided to indicate how a discrepancy should look after alteration. Please see a sample PCR at Sample Report. The PCR was used in the final negotiations regarding the change of ownership of the building.
